I just purchased the buffalo chicken dip found with all the other crapload in the deli. It was marked down so a good deal. I use to get them a couple years back when made in house. They had tomatoes & green onions on top. It also used the rotisserie chicken breast meat. This one is now made off site & has no Tomato no green onion chicken I can redily see. It pretty much sucks! Do they still make the Jarlsberg cheese dip at all & is it in house made? Here's the deal... Kroger has gone to making all the deli stuff elsewhere. All the behind the counter salad kits come in a box & all you do is dump the stuff into a bowl then mix up. The stuff is cheapened down by using inferior products. This makes the overall product nowhere near as good as it once was. Then Kroger wonders why it don't sell! Remember other companies that tried changing the recepies?
They ruined the chicken salad too. I used to love the chicken salad from the salad bar, i'd get a bollio roll and make a sandwich out of it. I got some last week and it tasted awful, i thought it was just me because i was sick that week but i mentioned it to the deli manager in my store and she said too that it's not good anymore. That was one of my favorites to get during my break too -_-
Kroger takes everything that is good and tosses it into the BIG KROGER BLENDER then pushes the "F UP" button. Trying to make everything homogeneous just don't cut it + they try to save money. In the long run, crap gets ruined and no one buys it. Same holds true on every aspect about Kroger down to it's employees. Look back 20 - 30 years when you were proud to work for Kroger compared to now when you got a bunch of mo's who can't tie their shoes or walk around staring at their cell phone as they 'work'
