For me it would be the notation that "A Highly Satisfied Customer Made This Paycheck Possible."  Last time I looked it was KROGER that issued the check and not John Q Public

Using my box cutter to open my checks because I'm way too nervous if I do it wrong, it'll rip. And that's not pleasant to talk with my Co Manager about who now does our Payroll. I mean, I liked it before, paystub on one side of envelope with address n name visible in case of mailing, and check on other side. Simply tear and done. I mean, what's the point of making us open it six different ways before we can even get at the damn thing. Don't anyone ever say "security" cause that's a load of horse**** and you know it! Especially wen I have to be careful because "oh gotta get rid of this damn sticky tape ****!" otherwise it rips and there goes a day or two of waiting again. ****

The "happy working here" campaign. Nobody is happy at work besides those who get paid well and have the lower paid employees pick up everyone else's slack.

Luckily, you wrote "What is the ONE thing......."  because no one has the time, neither myself to write all the things that drive me crazy about Kroger, nor you to take all the time necessary to read them!!!

the old rude coworkers that just need to retire. they hog all the hours and OT while contributing virtually nothing of their own to the store. they also act holier than thou because they've been there for 20 years and believe that they know anything about everything, and spend vast amounts of time not working and talking to their other coworkers (loudly, i might add). they act all buddy-buddy to their friend coworkers, but as soon as you need the smallest thing from them, they magically turn cheek and act like total bitches to you, for no reason. either do your job, retire, or piss off!

Right now and for the last few weeks, being called in to cover for peeps calling off left, right, and center. Typically don't mind doing it most times. But seriously dude, I have other stuff I need to get done as well when I'm not there. And at least one of my days off is deserving of a day of rest.

 THIS THIS THIS

They need to retire. They are the reason us young employees get sh-t pay and have to work up to 3x as much because they don't care anymore and just really want something to do instead of being at home with their annoying wives
