Whoever made it possible to grant me 40 hours the week after next, HALLELUJAH!!!!! Although now that I think about it, we do have 3 peeps that have put in their notices for quitting....which sucks to get hours because of that. And yet at the same time I haven't seen a full 40 hours or anything close to it in a very long time. So thank the lord.
Congrats to you as as well Deli Clerk. I hope it stays that way as well too, so I can finally not have to cover for anybody but my own hours, woohoo! I also agree that it doesn't make sense for after Easter. But I guess with the way Easter is falling this year, it either came up too quickly. And I think with my store still looking for ways in which to draw more customers in. And us not having enough hours for the longest time. I don't think they were prepared for the lead up to Easter. They might catch back up come the 4th of July and give more hours then too. But I don't know for certain.
You can thank oboma care for 29.5 hour a week jobs. 40 hour a week retail jobs are no more. You're very lucky to revive 40 hour work weeks in a non lead/management possession. I gave up on them after three years of complaining for them. It's legally possible. They just won't do it.
