Is your HR Manager two faced or awesome?

How does your HR manager handle disputes and complaints between employees. Does your HR Manager ever tell overzealous department heads to calm their teets about how they talk to workers? Or is your HR Manager basically just Ricki Lake, thier to put on a conxerned face and then shrug off everything you just said.

I haven't really gone to my HR about issues. I only go to HR when it comes to pass words, uniform, or clocking in. I gave up on complaining to any of the higher ups for 2 reasons; 1) They have to hear about everything from everyone. So, they probably already heard about the issue and have already made their decision on what they believe.
2) If they were going to really do something about it then, they would do it immediately, no hesitation.
My first month there, other employees were whining about me, because I was new and learning faster than them. One of the employees went to the Store manager and made false accusation about me. When I spoke with her (manager), she said I think we need to get the both of you together and find out what's really going on. I agreed! That never happened!!!

My HR is a nice person but i feel that he doesn't always know what he's doing.

Then again, it's a step up from the one I had at my old store because she just always had an attitude, and didn't want to help people, and once tried to rip me off out of holiday pay when she told me I should not split my vacation week because i'd have to pay "double taxes" on it which was a flat out lie. Good thing I didn't take her advice, split my vacation Wednesday to Wednesday and got that holiday pay as well (i think it was labor day week).

The people running these stores barely left a register or culling fruit some time ago. Heck some are barely legal! Why are we are surprised they don't know how to make people play nice in the sandbox? I have never worked with a bigger stack of flapjacks than the mofos at my store right now. The managers are a bunch of jellybeans: colorful personalities with cold goo inside. Just when you think you find one with substance you realize he/she is all sugar. Useless. I'm getting fatter working at Kroger and my @ss always itches.
