In reality, people do not recognize items in Kroger stores belong to anyone! They almost think of Kroger and other retailers as places they can do whatever they want, because its a "public" place. How many people working register see people placing items on the Magazine Racks or Candy Racks? While the Cashier is scanning 2 feet in front of them! Unless the item is in their car or their home, they think of the items as belonging to someone else and they don't have to respect anything.

Ain't that the truth. I can't even count how many times I've found someone's pistachio shells in the bread baskets when I had to fill the floor. It's utterly disgusting that someone would actually put something they've had in their mouth, in places where other people pick up their food items! Just beyond disgustingly gross and they don't even care. I mean sure the bread is in plastic bags and so forth. But still considering how rough most customers are or any given associate when re-filling the basket, there can end up being holes in the bags. So holes in the bags + mouth germs from nut shells being in the bread basket = major health concerns in my book.

Reminds me of our wonderful Northwestern Dark Red Cherries that recently were a big thing. (seasonal)...... they are off the display tables for now.......until next summer.
Anyway, cherry pits were EVERYWHERE!!! Stuck in little places here and there and everywhere..........in between the honeydew, and onions , and tomatoes and grapes and apples and potatoes and oranges and bananas and.............................you get the picture. people are so sloppy!!!!!!!! Of course I realize that some may customers have *tried* to find a trash can, but failed..........but if you keep looking, you will find one sooner or later!!
She wouldn't make a difference in the amount of shrink that produce looses in a given day. I'll see the produce guys roll at least 6 trash cans full of produce to the trash chute
