A few weeks ago i was told if i wanted to continue eligibility for insurance, i had to get a physical that includes blood work.
Has anyone else heard this? I was told to complete it by sept. 30th.
Now im wondering if little clinic or others like this, will do blood work. As i do not have a family doctor. also, what could the blood work be done for?
There are i think 4 criteria to pass in order to get 400 put into your health savings account. If you don't smoke then you get 10 off your insurance every month.
Are you absolutely SURE that the blood work is ONLY for Diabetes?!?
I had to get a physical to get a lower deduction and the blood work the doctor gave was to check for diabetes. As far as the company wanting me to do blood work, hell no. I'd refuse in a heartbeat.

I thought you were supposed to do it each year with your wellness exam as part of the biometric screening that they do. Or how it read in the insurance paper work I got. So I thought it was required.
So to not get ANY blood work done per year. Means you aren't fulfilling the insurance obligations. Was my understanding of things.
The only "blood work" that we get during the screening to be eligible for the best insurance offered, and the health savings dollars, is a finger stick.
Just make sure you have fast the night before and are well hydrated {with water}
Been dong it for years, and it's really no big deal.
