Fun times working during the holidays am I right...

Both receiving areas are packed full, grocery with pallet after pallet of Thanksgiving, Drug side packed with more promo candy distribution and clicklist carts always parked in the way and empty milk crates from dairy. Overnight grocery hogging all the six wheelers with Thanksgiving distro so you get to fight vendors in the morning for what few are left.  Beer vendor just parks 4 pallets in the middle of the back hall because he ran out of space so now you can't get the straddle jack back to the charge station. Oh look a bale needs to be made and there is nowhere to put it.

Just a bunch of rats trapped in a maze.

ohhhhh yeah, it's like that here too. receiving is a nightmare (it always is). our truck is so full of thanksgiving crap that we are spilling over into the drug gm back room with excess stock. we have 9 billion displays littering the store and pallet drops everywhere, which is very fun to maneuver around. also, specials for days. i feel like i spend more time filling end caps than stocking the aisles. it doesn't matter how hard you bust your butt filling up those shelves, cause they'll be wiped the next day with a heap of titanic pallets awaiting your arrival.

And in part why I'm glad I'm not on in the early hours any more. Hell just running the trash last night was a nightmare. Too many milk crates, barely enough space to navigate with all the damn bread and everything else crammed back there in our docks. If not the mini Christmas trees going to stab ya in the butt from floral. Trash heaped at the compactor. Can barely find a hand jack if you need one to remove extra pallets. It's a hot holiday mess.

That's why we never return ours when we're done with them.  We're not the only ones though.  We have to bring up orders every day.  If we needed the truck once, we're going to need it again.  So we may as well hang on to it.
