About anything? Not at my store, several store managers working at the same time and none of them watching anything. A why are they even there? Even corporate is no good.
My grocery manager cares. A lot. He cares about the store, his customers, and his crew. More than he should, maybe, given the way he, and his night crew (including me), are treated. He specifically denies being a member of management. ("Don't call me boss. BOSS stands for Big Old Stupid S--t" he says.)
He's also incredibly well informed. His knowledge of details like where things are in the store is near perfect, even in the midst of a chaotic remodel.
He's not perfect, no one is. But damn, he tries to be.

I could care less. I could care less if you're a regular shopper that's been coming in for 15+ years six times a day. The same rules apply to all. I use to care then I got bitched and complained at to the point where I just gave up all hope. In my mind retail is all about sin.

And yet retail is everywhere (and continues to grow)...So is sin and it's apparent one way or the other in just about every job out there if one looks hard enough...And customer complaints are nothing new, either! What can one do???

To say you could care less means you care some. What you mean to say is you couldn't care less.
Ha Ha ha!! I have to agree with our forum's resident English teacher..................that saying has been so "messed up" in recent years. I remember when it first became a fad to say that phrase (maybe in the early-mid 1970s?)....... it was common for people to say "I couldn't care less"!' which basically does mean "I don't care AT ALL".
Now, the saying has gradually changed among the general population, , so gobs of people now say, (incorrectly),
