Once you work with the general public, nothing really effects you anymore. I was like "Ok, Thank You, Come Again" and just went about my business, If I would find the card..... "What Card"? (Trash Can).

You could have said "I m not the one who lost your card." If said politely, she can' get you on being rude.

This is something I've noticed about Kroger employees, very judgemental. If they are not judging someone for their race, then it's their political views, if it's not that, then it's the form of payment they pay with, if it's not that, then it's something else. Who do you think you are? You work at a grocery store. You can't even imagine the type of judgements the customers have about you just for being a cashier. Usually they think you are dumb, and messed up somewhere in your life and ended up cashering. Also the judgements people have about you just for working at Kroger might surprise you. in other words, just like you are acting haughty and judging others, someone is out there judging you, and I bet if you knew what they were thinking, you wouldn't be able to handle it.

Agreed. Mr/Mr. 'Anti-WIC' needs to be sterilized themselves. I had a friend who was on WIC. so you know what?? You can STFU!! You know NOTHING!!!

Also the judgements people have about you just for working at Kroger might surprise you. in other words, just like you are acting haughty and judging others, someone is out there judging you, and I bet if you knew what they were thinking, you wouldn't be able to handle it.
The above post is just so sad. It shows that you are both in the same boat................. (both Kroger employees AND Kroger customers) are in a very sad shape. You Are BOTH haughty and judgmental. BTW are you a Kroger employee, or a customer only?
(Just to be clear, I am not the OP who made the comments about EBT and WIC I don't agree with that attitude although, to be honest, it has crossed my mind (and it has crossed others minds also, if you are absolutely honest) that some WIC shoppers are more than happy to lay around on the couch all day, eat junk food and drink soda, watch TV and let others pay for their food. But I know that is not the way ALL wic customers do, just some of them.
But replying to the above poster, I have a very good idea of what some customers think of me as a measly Kroger store employee.........and it is prob not very nice. call me paranoid, but sometimes I can "feel' their thoughts. They might go something like this...................................
"He probably couldn't find a better job so has to settle for that one".
"I bet he never finished high school, and probably never went to college either".
"Probably rents a cheap apartment and drives a crappy car".
"That outfit is kinda sloppy..........the pants are dirty. His apron needs to be ironed"
"Does he find taking apples out of a box and arranging them in neat rows mentally stimulating?"
"What decent woman would marry a loser like that produce clerk?"
"He always says "good morning" but I wish he'd just do his job and not speak to me. I am above his class!"
"UUggh! Imagine cleaning heads of lettuce for a living!"
"he thinks he is so smart just because he's holding that thingamajjig [RF scanner]!"
"I have a high-falutin' desk job and I make alot more money that you, dork!"

BUT, Thankfully, I get alot of nice comments from customers too...................so it makes up for what I think some of them probably have going through their minds.

NO, please read my entire post again including my very LAST SENTENCE. Actually, I was really speaking of you (whoever you are), who seems (??) to be a haughty, judgemental CUSTOMER who was saying how us Kroger employees wouldn't be able to stand the nasty things customers (you ?) think about us. Repeating.........there are lots of really truly nice Kroger customers out there, and I know they often have nice things to say (and think) about us. But there are exceptions to everything.

While I agree that people on WIC should be DISCOURAGED from having any more children, I do not think steralizing them without it being THEIR decision is a violation of their rights.
Some people do take advantage of the system, yes. But my spouse and I are both trying to get on WIC and have no kids because we are both young college students trying to make it through. Me, I hate kids and would never want one, so steralizing myself and my significant other sounds glorious.
But I also respect that most people don't feel this way, just like I respect your wish for your tax dollars to go to a good cause (such as feeding me pls). I think it's only fair to respect those who use WIC, as if they are NOT taking advantage of the system, since those who actually need the money would respect you.
