Store seniority?

Within the same state, is there such a thing as store seniority? I've never heard of such a thing in 24 years until today from a fellow associate. Isn't it division seniority?

Do you mean that some stores have seniority over others? That doesn't make any sense.  Within a division, your individual seniority should transfer to another store (you will fall in with their employees based on seniority), but as far as stores having seniority, this is news to me

Union/Store Seniority should be the same, if for some reason you have to transfer your hire date/length of service/adjusted length of service is your seniority within the same union. I have only heard of "Store Seniority" when dealing with a grievance. I a grievance is filled by someone because of an "non-union" member performing a union member task, the highest person with seniority in the work group receives the "make associates whole" $$. Someone also might refer to "Store Seniority" when dealing with earlier start time, as senior associates should be receiving the earliest start time if desired.
