Carts
(Preview)
Cart pushers are the least valued in the company, the people who bring in just a few carts at a time get praised while us people who bring in 12 carts at a time, without customer disruption get in trouble for doing so, We do use our cart straps and on several occasions we have had managers tell us it is ok, ev...

We got 6 brand new U-scans
(Preview)
Don't like 'em. When you walk up to one, it automatically activates and says, "Welcome to Kroger. Please scan your shoppers card now." More on that later. If you're paying with cash, and you want to deposit coins, you literally have to wait 5 seconds after depositing a coin before it will register...

Does anyone else find it creepy watching videos of customers scanning at the Uscan?
(Preview)
The Uscan software now has a security feature where the overhead camera records customers as they scan. When a security check kicks in, and it suspects a scanned item isn't what was placed in the bagging area, it forces us, the attendants to look at a video of what the customer scanned. It's kind of weir...

Should I call the union?

Hey all, I have been working for the past two summers at a local Kroger where I am from (not called that, but owned by Kroger). Because I take a leave for school, they have kept me a combo clerk because it is easier for both of us to come and go when I am in a position that is easily replaceable. I didn't mind fo...

meeting with division president
(Preview)
I'm not sure what this meeting was for, but I guess they took someone from each store to have a one on one with our division president to talk about how she/he can make things better. They need to send someone who isn't afraid to tell it like it is. No balls in this company.
