Any current or former employees of this store on here?

Anyone notice the stationary note at the bottom of the home page? It is definitely no longer correct because in the last two days, I have seen "2 members and 44 guests" on at one point in time. There may have been even more people reading than that at some point. Definitely there has been a big jump in p...

So it has been almost two months since I had a schedule where I actually had more than 25 hours a week. That was back in January. Since then it has been NON STOP every week of terrible hours. I went from 30 plus and upper 20's to 18 hours now. It seems that this is the new reality. I simply cannot believe that we...

I like to work....but I can't cope with someone constantly criticizing me when I attempt to do something. I don't get trained adequately in the first place, but everyone is eager to complain. I'm in the mood to kick some fat lady who works with me that can't seem to lead nicely and give me a chance to get u...

I asked this question some time back and didn't get many responses. They buy the majority of balloons in our store and it is the big huge ones-what is up with that?

I kid you not. Some older guy shopping smelled like he pooped his pants and needed help discussing the merits of some product being sold in the store (he did not do his homework on the subject matter online before jumping in his car and coming to the store). Do you make up an excuse to leave (have to go to th...

What are the ID requirements in your state for such items? Recently the cashier I was bagging for asked for ID for "regular" (non-drowsy) cough syrup. In our state we have a "meth law" that regulates the sale of such items and requires ID but for the non-drowsy stuff the cashier said it was a recent cha...

What do you do when a great dane (with big swaying balls) decides to take a dump in the middle of an aisle? Service animal or not, I say kick them out!

I went from a marketplace to a slow slow money losing store. What is the best approach to turning a grocery department around at a slow store? Almost everything is a slow mover and there is tons of certain products that will never sell down. I know you can send stuff back to the warehouse (depending on ho...

Does anyone else remember these? They came in on cases of strawberries IIRC. We used to collect and trade them.

I've been removing all the obvious troll questions and "best dept to work in" threads that have been created over the past month or two as spam, seeing as they would create multiple threads on the same topic and even tried to "recruit members to help me spam this board". Should I try and limit it to 1 topic...

I don't identify myself as a Kroger employee on my FB page. Have you ever experienced hassles from management over your internet postings or what you do on your off hours? Just asking-so far I haven't .
