Management seems to like to make people clean up and do reshop and other stuff when their shift is over, which is the same time the store is closing. And customers are rushing cause it's christmas eve. Do you all stay and help out and get the extra overtime or do you gtfo?

When I worked retail and we re-opened the day after Christmas, people would be lined up gang deep to get in, acting like they had to piss gallons and we'd been blocking the bathrooms! Then they'd swoop into the place and loot the shelves like they'd never been in a grocery store before

I was shopping at wal mart today and saw little shelf tags that said "temporarily out of stock" stuck next to the item upc just like we do at kroger. Who started this practice, us or them? Theirs were less noticeable, seemed to be more helpful to employees than customers (ours are bold, blue).

When will management at Kroger ever get the hint they should have gone to college and majored in management? I see NO SIGNS of an educated workforce at the MANAGEMENT level. Having a perpetual card table setup, and in full view of your customers, that advertises jobs galore in your storemeans YOUR M...

Hi At my kroger-owned store, the "in-store audio network" plays, but I've heard the same Christmas playlist for the last 3 years now. So I'm not sure if it is also by the in-store audio network or not. Anyway, the first song that I cannot find is a vocal version of "I'll be home for Christmas", at least I t...

I was told today January 15th 30 stores in the Atlanta division will be closing over night. What is the reason they decided to do this? In the town I live in we have allot of theft over night and we are the only 24 hr Grocery store. I noticed for awhile there has been a button at the front door. I was thinking it...

Hello, laddies and lassies. I would like to take this time to wish you all a Merry Christmas and give a Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings. And as a Vulcan friend of mine would say, may you all live long and prosper.

Would love to see video (preferably live) of an overnight challenge in a Kroger store, especially from Christmas eve into Christmas day. Sometimes the video stream is live. That's the best. Entertaining as hell. Beats watching Christmas movies like It's a Wonderful Life.

I just stumbled upon this forum googling "how to quit kroger job", so here I am. Don't know the typical forum etiquette here or if this is even where I should post, sorry. I've only been working at Kroger for almost a month. I was already thinking the gig was a no go because the HR lady that was supposed to in...

I work for Giant Food in the northeast. I am the only full timer left on night crew. The night lead makes 4 bucks less than me, has no benefits and is part time. Turnover is near 100%. I'm just wondering what working fir a union shop is like. .

One of our co managers left several weeks ago. I heard since they are considered salaried employees, the total number of hours they are working would equate to less than minimum wage. (OK say you work 60 hours a week, your salary is X, divide that up and you get an aprox hourly rate.) One I know left due to a...
