I just recently transferred from one Kroger to another and almost everything is different. From the way they set up for lunch, dinner, etc. to the temp logs and dating their meats and cheeses. I thought we all watched the same videos and all Leads and Back ups took the same classes. I guess it really depe...

I was a courtesy clerk at Ralphs (Southern CA), and three months in they sent me to cashier training and I became known as a combo clerk. Of course, I spent almost 8 hours in the check stand every day, primarily days where I worked 5:00am to 1:30pm. There was also a sales manager at 5:00am scheduled as the c...

I need some advice, so I walk in at the start of my shift to get an RF gun and there are two new hires sitting doing the new hire stuff. One of my co managers introduces me and says they are a new grocery night person and a new NUTRITION night person. This is AFTER I expressed interest to move to nights several t...

I work at a Mariano's store which recently had a conversion tot he Kroger system. In the conversion process we were double charged our union dues. Mariano's says they can't control this. Has anyone had this happen to them? Does anyone know how its going to be corrected??

tell me why our store managers want the front end to do a million things with no help. How can the front end supervisor properly run the front end while running a register. They take our people without asking or letting us know until we call for them. They want us to have our baggers do stuff they can do in 30...

So I've been a full-time closer in Bakery for awhile now, and I've gotten mostly everything down to a T, but if there's a lot of cookies to make for a sale, or my temp manager has me doing things I normally don't, I can get really behind. I was wondering if anyone has tips, tricks, any kind of advice really. A...

Ive been working at Kroger for about a week now and I have slowly but surely learned new things everyday. Ive been cashiering for 2 days and it will be a while before I become comfortable moving/scanning fast, and not having anxiety with long lines and customers having a lot of items. Also a lot of times m...

Within that year they have been in 5 different departments so theyre coming in with very little experien...

Is it wrong to call out the day before a vacation? I'm so exhausted I can't bring my self to show up for a short 4 hour shift before a few days off.

I'm an assistant Groc Manager and the head is on vacation, and I am curious as to how relief pay works. Is it similar to retro pay or do they automatically update it in time for the direct deposit? Either way is nice, gonna love that check this week (on pace for 55 hours )

We started using yellow plastic bags a few days ago (around the same time they posted huge yellow "barely-see-through" advertising signs across the glass panes on the front doors). Not sure if these yellow bags are the new norm, or is it temporary? The yellow bags look EXACTLY like the bags used by D...
