Odd question: Say for example if a drivers license expires "today" is it still valid for alcohol purchases? I ran into this a couple times yesterday. Technically licenses are valid until midnight when the clock rolls over to 12:01 am? Right? I looked up the law and it wasn't much help. It just sad...

So they started me at 7.85 and hour and the next raise was a whopping 10 cents. my union dues were 8.50 and 50 cents for Sunday pay. As of last week when the raise kicked in it went to 9.00 bucks a hour the union dues are now 10.50 and its 1.00 for sundays. So did I roll over to full time or something? I did work clo...

Why is the internet for my schedule is not working

It is a completely different job code-one of the reasons I took the Utility job was *not* to have to bag anymore. I wish the cashiers (at least in my store) would be more respectful of the job we do (it isn't just about "cleaning the bathrooms" as some cashiers think that is all we do.)

I received a letter from the Union to vote on our contract the deadline for them receiving votes was 27th. How long does it usually take for them to release results and are you contacted or updated about results?

Simple question, can you be rightfully punished with a write up or worse for becoming ill on a shift and having it impair your work? I figure I should have opted to go home early once I realized it was not going to get better so I can accept that, but my issue was that the Assistant Store Manager directly tol...

does your store ever do this? I went in to the store today and there was a sign up that said it was closed. I was pissed and the person who seemed to be in charge told me it'd be at least an hour before it reopened. It was a little busy, but close a lane and go take care of people at the counter. They actually s...

Effective Jan 2018, what are the benefits for life insurance? I was told it was at least one/two times your annual salary. Can someone please confirm this? Thank you!

Today I had a man with a trump/pence t shirt come through my line that said trump in 2020 and make America great. He was bagging his own groceries and turn around to tell him how much money he owes when I notice a gun in a holster on his hip. That kind of unnerve me seeing that gun. I know anybody can carry a gun n...

How do I work with someone who's nippy and rude all the time. I swear nothing I do even my smiles, pleases and thanks are not enough. All I do is be around them and its enough to nip and rude. The problem is they don't communicate so you don't know what sets them off. They always have a reason to complain a...

The other day a man and a woman got into an argument at the customer service desk. He thought she was taking too long and was holding up the line. She probably was. Anyway, the bitch sprayed the guy with pepper spray. The police were called. If it were me, I would definitely press charges against the...

New to produce scheduling. I know answers will vary depending on the store and what works for that particular store, but I am still curious. What does a typical schedule look like for your dept on a truck and non-truck day? Do you give your associates specific tasks or do you all decide throughout the da...

Is anybody else's store making them do what they call "cart exchange" at checkout? It's where we get a new cart for the customer and swap it out with the one they were using. If so, what are your feelings/thoughts about it? Honestly, I think it's stupid. They claim it's more efficient to make checkout qu...

Ive been at Kroger for almost two years and the store I work at is always busy. It has gotten worse because a few surrounding locations were closed. I have seen my coworkers have nervous breakdowns and it is completely understandable. It drains me to be there at times because it seems to me that I have to a...

Does anyone use this? Every time I go on there all I see is a bunch of co store managers posting pics of them at their hiring station bragging about how many people they hired or how they are "inspired" it's a joke seriously lol.

I had one, one time... this girl asked if we had a whole "crate of corn" she could buy. On my way to the back to check, another customer stops me with a question for a different department. This always happens, and then I get sidetracked. So I get her some help, and then return to the door to go in the back an...
