A friend I work with has been trying to be transferred to another store closer to their home. The excuse they got was, "We can't let you go because you've been working here too long." I thought that was hor$e$hit from a bears' a$$ naturally, so I gave them the number for the union office and told them who t...

In your honest opinion, tell me what you like to see in a manager. If youre a manager, what traits do you like to see in an employee? As an employee, what shortcomings have you overlooked in your boss and for what reasons? Managers, what shortcomings have you overlooked in your employees, and why? Im hon...

Like if a customer becomes rude because they didn't get their way, starts calling the manager names, can the manager just refuse to help the customer and just walk away? Like a basic F-U to them. This happened recently. The customer said they would call corporate and then demanded to speak to a store ma...

Anybody heard anything about this? My grocery manager told me the other day that we're supposed to start facing rather than l-blocking/pulling two forward because customers like it better. My store never has people on the floor to help out a customer. I have to excessively page someone from a department because they are no where to be found. I have a new front end manager and shes not too eager to be at Kroger, her attitude is horrible. The tags on the merchandise are expired, so we lose money f...

Got into a conversation with a customer lady. A regular of mine. Told her that I don't smoke or drink. She looked at me in disbelief. Asked me if I used to do those things. Told her I never have. She looked at me like I'm some sort of reincarnation of Jesus Christ. Hahaha, love it.

Whenever we are on our...
