I've been one of the backups for File Maintenance at my store for a year and a half, and almost everyone at my store tells me they feel sorry for me and "you couldn't pay me to do that job." I don't really understand why though. It's not a bad job. Tags aren't too bad. Signs are easy. Audits are bor...

Is is 90 calendar days or 90 work days before you are eligible to move jobs in a store?

This morning I woke up with an email telling me I was hired by Kroger. I went on Onboarding Portal and everything, but I just realized that I was never given a first day of work. Will they send me an email later telling me when I start? I tried calling earlier, but the person I was supposed to talk to was in a me...

I am a very quiet person. I have been working since January and I am just now getting use to saying Good morning or whatever to a customer when they walk past me. Today they told me that I need to interact with the customers more. That I need to ask them how they are and if I can help them with anything. Is anyon...

When our asst. deli manager tried to call to confirm the order, the calls went unanswered. And none of the e-mails back to the address we had wer...

So I've noticed that for the number of hours I'm scheduled, the number is higher than the actual number that says my total hours worked. So say I work 4 hours Monday and Tuesday, 8 hours Wednesday, and 8 hours Friday, my total hours should say 24 hours. However the total number of hours would say 23. Also,...

I see everyone talking about how bad their store managers and co-managers are, but it really isn't much of a problem at my store. There are a lot of people who don't like our store manager, but they also understand that she's considered one of the better store managers out there. No one has any problems w...

Anyone here seem to have to constantly postpone vacation time due to hypochondriac coworkers, who just happen to decide they're fatally ill 2 weeks before every vacation you try to post? How does one deal with that?

Anonymous

This is a pretty dumb question but how much do you think a single bascart weighs. FES told us clerks that one cart weights around 45 pounds.
