How do you feel about the management at your store?

Can you go from one department as just a regular clerk to another department as a head? Ex: Meat clerk to head produce. I know they're different contracts and yada-yada.

So this week, I got to go to the dept. head meeting since my manager was off that day and I was the one there with the most seniority. We watched KTV and I found out that the Cincy division has come up with another "lovely" idea...HomeShop. Basically, people can shop from home and pick out what g...

At my store in the past 6 months we've had 2 long time employees retire. Neither one was really old or had any physical reasons for retiring, they both started with Kroger at a very young age. In the same time we've had our long time Head Grocery Clerk give up that position, and his back-up who took the jo...

After being in the workforce for about 3 years and having a lot of jobs/interviews, I was starting to think I should settle with a career at Kroger. I'm currently a Courtesy Clerk, full-time employee, in good standing, and tries to show initiative to assist the customer. I want something more respect...

Ok so in my store if you are called in, you have to have a person at the customer service desk override for you to clock in. Tonight I got asked to come in for a couple hours because of that buy one get one free cookie sale they have been flipping out over. So I come in, and there's one person at the desk. There's...

A couple days ago our new co-manager, who was a manager and drove one store out of business, was informed by the girl frying chicken that we had ran out of flower for breading the chicken and the bags that were supposed to come in on the supply order that day didn't come in. He said he was going to another st...

Currently, I'm a front-end supervisor/office helper. The other day, my front-end manager asked me if I wanted to train to be an assistant customer service manager. In the past, I've never really been interested in the position because it's stressful as ****, but the pay is really good. Any thoughts...

Our store dont utilize bakery service clerks, produce nor meat clerks for front end service because they handle food. They do have sinks to rinse and its not like they dont go take sh*ts in between which can spread e.coli.and such.i believe these depts should also serve the front end since their produ...

As you can tell from the subject line, staffing at my store is the worst I've seen it in my decade with the company. Last week the front end had 70 mores hours than they had people to give it to because the idiot front end manager, keeps scheduling school kids(college and high school) outside their avail...

If you spend labor day in produce then you know what I mean. Replace these idiots with ANYONE...an untrained monkey, middle school kid, obama..it can't get any worse then this. If you can't get enough plus some then DON'T PUT IT ON SALE.

There's a song that plays at my Kroger store that goes something like " Take a walk, Walk in my shoes, no choice, I choose you" sounds like a rock/pop rock song I think young guy sings it, I've searched and searched and nothing comes up, can anyone identify it?
