Does anyone know what a cashier's duties are when they are scheduled to go in at 6 a.m. and the store doesn't open until 7?

There is a flyer over by our break room upstairs that says we get 20% off certain purchases from August 29th - September 1st. Anyone else hearing or seeing this? -- Edited by FrontEndSlave on Thursday 28th of August 2014 01:35:31 AM

Okay so i work as a cashier and i am 19 so yesterday i scanned beer for another cashier who is under 18. Then one of the supervisors yelled at us about it and told me never to do that ever again. The thing is that I've been doing that since i was a bagger (i started when i was 18) and none of the other supervisors h...

I wish the managers would just leave the schedule alone and leave it as is. This week and last week, I've had handwritten times written underneath the original time on the schedule. In fact, all of the cashiers have. On the days that I had off, there would be a handwritten time and "OFF" was cr...

So one of our moron courtesy clerks or cashiers -- no idea which -- put eggs into our gobacks. Now, as of yesterday evening, we had about 12 or so goback carts. Yep. That's not an exaggeration. Of course, if you work for Kroger and have been reading this forum for awhile, that won't surprise you. Most of t...

It's back to school time and I asked our schedule manager if we needed to do paper as well as online. She said no. Last week, she was on vacation and the substitute schedule maker did it. She botches them every single time she does it - 4 days this week, no 11pm cashier! She also denied everyone's availabi...

At my store, all of the cashiers are having their hours cut this week. No cashier is working more than 27 hours. I'm only working 22.5 hours this week. Is this a normal thing or is this something that I should be concerned about?

If I remember correctly this is your last day being enslaved -- err -- employed by Kroger. I have a few questions for you if you don't mind: 1. What was the driving reason for quitting? 2. From when you were hired, did it seem to get better or worse working there? 3. Did any employees/managers really stic...

First of all... my store's nutrition department is not given enough hours. I can assume the same thing for the majority of other stores. So last week was my first back from vacation. While I was gone one of our co-managers was replaced by another guy who use to be a store manager. Well the bad thing is this guy has been a manager at two other stores and they both shut down. How can a guy with this reputation, he's been complained on about ha...
