I just recieved a call stating that I start orientation next week. What exactly will I be doing? The hiring manager also told me to "dress comfortable", does that mean jeans and a nice t-shirt? I'm going to be a cashier if that helps.

Ok I'm a new courtesy clerk -Bagger and I was wondering when will I get my first check if I get paid for orientation and get paid for the four days I worked because I started on the 29th of June and haven't gotten a paycheck yet.

Has everybody got the same joy of silence I have? The lame Kroger music has been off since probably Wednesday or Thursday! It's so peaceful! The song in my head rocks so much better!

This morning I was conditioning a grocery aisle in front of the meat counter, I was on the end closest to it, about 15 or 20 feet away. And the seafood guy was talking to the meat manager, and I happened to look over at him, because he is loud and very animated waving his arms around, and he tells me to quit lo...

I just got hired as a cashier, and this whole "ELMS" thing has me a bit spooked. Will they actually fire me if I'm not fast enough? I'm an older woman (55) and I'm worried I just might not be able to pick it up as quick or go as lightning fast as someone younger. Will they actually let me go if I ha...

My boss says just use the eschedule, but I have no idea what that is. I need to request certain days off of the upcoming week but can't, who should I ask or what should I do?

new shirts to wear and they were t-shirts so slightly lighter than the usual, definitely a good thing around here one time the bakery had churro samples and the power went out so we totally ate them after the customers were gone the other sample recipes were really good, and I always talk to the food ladi...

I work at a Kroger in Ohio and I think the whole ad campaign stinks of racism. The TV ad with the white woman who is trying to decide what to make for dinner only to get in a haistorm of bad Mexican sterotypes is one example. The other one is the in-store ad that seems to be a white woman faking a mexican accen...

How do you stop getting kroger health insurance and how do you get out of kroger union?

Anyone else getting a kick out of the pathetic new signage? Imitation is the lowest form of self-debasement. You're never going to out Wal-Mart the real deal, boys and girls. Might as well take pride in offering consumers a different experience.

New to Kroger and need help understanding my eschedule. (I'm a grocery clerk) If Sunday shows as blank and Monday says I work from 12:00a - 5:00a. Does that mean I come in Monday and clock in at 12:00a, or does that mean I come in Sunday at 12:00a which would technically be Monday 12:00a - 5:00a?

I was initially hired as a cashier at my store and a store manager approached me 4 months into my employment and said we need an extra person in front end file maintenance (pricing dept.) to make signs and do scan audits a few days a week. They said it would be in addition to cashiering. I got about 38 hours a...

I would like to wish everyone a happy fourth of July. I hope that those of you who had to work managed to take off early so you can spend time with your friends and loved ones. Let the fireworks begin! And to quote Lee Greenwood: God bless the USA!
