Every few weeks or so, we get bad "batches" of plastic or paper bags. Paper bags with holes at the bottom, no handles, or that stick to each other like glue, plastic bags that won't open automatically, or ones that have terrible/broken handles. Then we have to wait a week to get a new shipment...

Is there a private company that stocks snack items in the Kroger stores like chips, cookies and such or do Kroger employees do that ? I heard that it might be a private company but don't know the name of it. Any one know ?

A few years ago my fellow employees and I were made to sign an agreement that gives Kroger the right to fire us if we say anything negative about Kroger in print or online. How do we know our our rants won't be used against us?

We had what we thought was a key retailing check but instead it was G.O. instructing zone co-ordinators how to do a key retailing check. In the past if you did everything right but forgot to put a check here or miss a number there you got dinged but now G.O. is telling co-ordinators not to be such a hard ass...

Union member voting is Wednesday & Thursday in ATL metro and Thursday in Savannah, GA, & Opelika, AL. Your stores should have posted where you can vote or you can go to the ufcw1996 site to check. http://ufcw1996.org Some stores are letting people carpool on the clock to vote.

Is there such a position as lead cashier at your stores? I've been with Kroger almost 3 years and we now have a young girl who they have decided to be a lead cashier. I'm not seeing that position in my union handbook - I'm in the Southwest Division.
