Ok so I've heard about the whole 28 hour limit for part timers before but until now I don't think my store had been following it. This week, since our dept. head has finally gone to training, I'm getting 33 hours. Today our co-manager says to us that she's working on the schedule for next week (since our de...

There was a job opening for a dept head, but it was never posted and very few people in the store knew about it. We thought the previous department head was on vacation. The job was filled by someone from a different store who just so happens to be married to that departments'coordinater. Not only doe...

I recently got hired on as a courtesy clerk and when I was about to do my carts, my manager said to go down the street and look for carts by the apartments as we had almost none. Can they do this? Make us leave the property to hunt down carts? He said go just to the end of the street and pull any loose carts back. E...

I'm employed at a Mid-Atlantic store working in the bakery as a cake decorator/floor filler. There is another store fairly close (3 miles away) to us closing at the end of March. A lot of full time people are worried that employees from that store will come over here and take our hours when it officially...

I've called the Kroger that I worked for and they told me that I couldn't use w2express.com because I am no longer an employee there. They also said that I would have it by Jan 31 and here it is Feb 3 and I still don't have one. I'm really frustrated with these people and want to know if anyone else is experien...

I've been winging my way through Natural Foods recently. Haven't been formally trained but I'm getting it. Was wondering if someone could give me the rundown on how to delete distributions. It would be much appreciated.

I work in the deli and I got the most frustrating customer today. I asked her if I could help her and she said "I want the private selection." We have turkey, ham, cheese, chicken, and roast beef in private selection. Obviously saying "I want private selection" isn't narrowing...

My store offers a wide variety of organic produce, and there are hundreds of organic items scattered throughout the store. As a result, we attract large numbers of health/fitness nuts, Whole Foods shoppers and health conscious stay-at-home-moms...in other words, 95% of our customer base is WHIT...

I am rarely late for work, but today I missed work by an hour. Last night I couldn't sleep due to my anxiety/headaches and it was around 3am and I didn't want to be sleepy for work, and knew I needed sleep. So, I took some sleeping medicine, and accidentally slept through both of my alarms. I was supposed to...

I hate our floor cleaner. He works a six hour shift. He comes in at 10 pm sweeps for about a half hour goes out ands sits in his car from 10:30 to about 12:15. He comes back finishes sweeping and runs the scrubber. Then about 2 am he leaves for about 45 minutes comes back and buffs. Sometimes I think he thinks...

Finally, I am out of the hell hole that is Kroger. I was a courtesy clerk and it was the most miserable job I've ever had. When I was 16, I worked at McDonald's and they treated me better. I am so happy to be out of that place and ready to start my new job. Kroger was, hands down, the worst job I ever had. If I worke...

Starting about a month back out of the blue, I was scheduled for no hours whatsoever. This was the first time I'd not gotten any hours, but in some previous weeks they only had me for one or two days. Talking with my supervisor, apparently the schedule was very different prior to a manager above him chang...
