I get into work today and my co-workers and boss say I was "recognized" in our department and entered into a raffle for a $20 gift card? I work in Meat/Seafood if that matters.

This has happened to me twice now. An employee from another department gets demoted and they send them back to the front end to work as a cashier. They have more seniority than me so they still get their 40 hours but my hours get cut back. I was working 32 to 36 hours but now I work around 25 each week. I un...

Does local 227 have a policy against post-interview random drug tests? There was an accident in the store yesterday and a poor elderly person fell. However, it was not in my department. There were also three at my store that night that could have been under the influence, however they were highly func...

Okay, so last week the deli manager at my store said that two people were getting fired. Then this week said four people were getting fired. My part in this is that I was randomly written up the other day for stepping outside to smoke, there is a side door near the deli that people from three departments us...

Today, at l-346 we had a visit in the deli from the key refailing lady. We failed again because every time they visit they make something else up as to how things are to be done. Now, if you have two facings of meat in the case, the one with the closest date is suppose to be on the right. How dumb is that? ...

If a manager tells you to do something one way and you do it that, and then they come along and badger you for doing it that way and say you were suppose to do it the opposite way, can you file a harassment claim? In other words, I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't.

It doesn't make sense! What's the point of eschedule? A computer can't read evaluations, can't see who the hard workers are from the time stealing (not using the to clock for numerous smoke breaks) quick cigarette smoke breaks are! It's soooo aggravating! I've worked my butt off for 7+ years only to g...
