So I just became a cashier about 3 weeks ago. On this weeks schedule they finally have me as a full time cashier on the schedule because before I was a courtesy clerk and a cahsier. Anyway tonight I had a lady that came to me and her transaction was $28 she paid with a $100 bill I gave her change which was like $...

I was moved from dairy to produce yesterday. When my store manager called me in to tell me, I asked her if I had done something wrong in dairy, and her response was 'we are not here to discuss that', which I guess is code for yes. I have no idea what I did. I had asked the co-manager in charge of dairy for fee...

Are there any Kroger company policies that regulate off-duty behavior/actions? For example if 1 employee is on the clock and is approached by an off-duty employee, and disturbs the on-duty employee from performing and complying with company rules - are there any disciplinary actions that can tak...

Just because I wear a yellow vest and don't get to operate a damned cash register doesn't mean I deserve to be treated like an idiot. If you're a bagger--sorry, courtesy clerk--are you also looked down upon/mistreated?

I rely on rides to get to work. I have my license but do not own my own car. The roads are really bad today because of a storm last night and my ride says that if they don't get better he can't take me to work. I am still technically on my probationary period (will be through it in a week or two). If I have to call in...

Couldn't find a topic on this, but what are the CAO Basics to know? Theres alot of abbreviations in the handheld that I need to know and functions so management wont have the upper-hand when it comes to missing items or incorrect BOHs or negative ones. for example, sometimes i have an out of stock in the d...

With Kroger wanting to stretch out that dollar, cut hours, get rid of full time, and fire the top paid, and investing on useless costly programs and systems... Why don't they Invest on Electronic Shelf Tags? Remove the full time P.O.S/File Maintenance position, and have this all update with a push o...

Should I say yes or should I stay on the front end? Me and the night crew boys get along pretty well. How much more of a headache is it? (I stay awake until 6:30am anyway so time doesn't effect me) -- Edited by BagBoy on Monday 20th of June 2011 06:40:48 PM

Im a little confused about breaks, and I asked my store manager and she seemed confused, too. There is a sign up in my store saying if you work 7-9 hours, you get 2 15 minute breaks which can be separate or combined into 1 30 minute break. It says do not take clock as a lunch break unless you drive somewhere...

So, folks, to get away from the normal frustrations and tiresome events during your shifts, what do you all normally do during your downtime? I work the afternoon/evening shift at the front end. It's when we have that afternoon rush, but things die down by about 9PM. After that, we just start shoutin...

I was reading the employee handbook, and it says you need management approval to bring cameras in the store. Does this include the parking lot? I have two security cameras built into my car, and I am wondering if need to let management know.
