in the new e-scheduling does the night grocery managers have access to the scheduling system or is the day grocery manager taking over it

Ok, I can understand wanting the store fully crewed at all times if possible, but an incident happened to me a week ago. Basically what happened was, I got a mild sore throat and runny nose that progressively got worse and worse throughout the day. I work nights and called in a good 12 hours before my shif...

The manager of my store has been making me work during my breaks. Is this okay? He says it's on the company's dime so he can do what he feels like.

Seems like a lot of write-ups going on as of late at the stores to senior employees. Any dept heads on here ever get written up for something so stupid that left you scratching your head and pissed you off at the same time?

I was looking at the sheet today that has the grades 1-5 on how we did. Someone gave us a 4 and made this comment "I'm hard to please" why did they give us a 4? That is their problem that they are hard to please. I have noticed several things like this. Does the corp office read these before they sen...

-I've noticed when I'm going over the order on my aisles that sometimes a product has a balance that is below the set minimum, but CAO still isn't bringing it in, and I'll have to order it myself. Anyone got any ideas why that's happening?

What would you do if you walked in and got promoted to manager in your dept. It dose not matter how long you been there. You just got promoted.

our PP scan is at 1pm everyday and when I'm in charge of grocery, I'll do orders, team stocking guides (daily planners now), out of stock diagnostic scan, etc and once those are done I'll spend the rest of the time filling holes for the scan. I usually spend a good 2 hours just checking low spots and findi...

I was on my vac and when I clocked out I still had my work shirt on sleeves pulled up. Shortly after my dept manager called me in to the office. He said I MUST have my tatts covered. I told him I was officially off the clock and on vacation and my tatts were NOT offensive. he looked at them and said that an employ...

our store (and the others I'm sure) make such a big fuss about being re-certified. We were already certified...probably 4 times this year...leave us the hell alone. Here's a question, what if we don't get certified? If we fail....are they going to closet the store down? are hours going to be cut...

Hi all. I've been working for Kroger for about 1 1/2 years and have come up with new "gourmet" cupcakes and truffle cakes for the seasons. I test the flavors out on associates and most enjoy the concoctions, so I put them out under "Custom Cupcake" or "Exotic Truffle Cake.&...

I understand it's probably different in each contract. But say at 5 years you became vested for pension benifits and decided to quit about how much (reasonable estimate) would you be eligible to receive when your payments came in wayy down the road? And about how much if you put in 20-25 years?

I had to call in this past Sunday because of a nasty ear infection. It's so bad that my balance has been affected and when I first called in the "ass"istant manager asked will you feel better after laying down a few hours? She can't put a display shipper together and barely graduated colleg...

I get annoyed at that line so much. Having a cashier or two who go against company policy, or the law, which results in customers feeling like every other cashier should too. Tonight was my first night of doing the closing self-scan shift, and I had two different groups of people today that I had to turn d...
