Free Samples for employees?
(Preview)
I hear today at work that the store gave away free items out of the private select store brand for associates to try ((sample)) at home in the hopes that we will up sell the brand to the customers. My question here is how would I go about getting in on this?

Touchscreens replacing keyboards at registers.
(Preview)
This is something that I've been hearing about now for approximately a year and half. Every now and then, I would hear how we're supposed to get new touchscreens at every register, but the bugs needed to be worked out first. Well, I guess the bugs have been worked out because it's happening now. For thos...

Is this legal? Whenever anyone asks to see the new union contract, we're told to contact our union representative. The union refuses to let us see the contract.

LOL
(Preview)
I must say, I like working with the people there, even management. They get the job done one way or another. They also don't raise a big fuss over anything. I'm assuming that what gets many of the kroger employees are the ridiculous corporate policies. Kind of like how now matter how nice and understan...

Is this normal?
(Preview)
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just curious. I've been working at Kroger for about 2 months now, and it's my first job. I started off in Bakery, then they switched me to a Cashier after 2 weeks since they needed help on the front end. A couple weeks later, I started getting days on my schedule to do Demo...

I start college classes next week. I've let them know about my new availability and they've honored it without much resistance. Though, I noticed that I've been scheduled three 8 hour shifts for the week (the three days that I'm available). Would they raise a fuss if I ask it to be cut down to 5 hours/da...
