So I was wondering how much notice dose management have to give you before they make a schedule change? I can tell you that at my store the schedule is posted every Friday by noon, now I have worked for Kroger for 10 years, full time 40 hours a week and never had this problem until I transferred to the store I...

Just wondering how the Union and Kroger (since they both bargain the contract) can justify the fact that every associate starts out at minimum wage, even though the job responsibilities are so different. For example, a deli clerk who has to run the slicer, bake chicken in the oven, fry chicken in the f...

This job basically kills any social life i had before i started and if it wasn't for the fact i've only been working here for a month i'd quit. Some of the people i work with are ok but can't stand the customers or how much it hurts my back and legs halfway through a 4 hour shift.

Rumor has it that if you ever want to go into management at Kroger that you are not allowed to be in the union. Rumor also has it that once you're in the union, you can NEVER get out, which means you will never be considered for management. Does anyone know if this is this true? I would hate to sign a piece of pa...

so I just started working in the deli and I keep hearing about the other workers saying they got a text message from kroger saying they get a free this-or-that each week. How do I sign up for these text messages?! I like free stuff!

You go to them asking if they can talk to this manager but all they are good for is chatting with the customers, making their hourly walk around the store for their exerci...

I heard it was illegal for them to have only one person to clear the lot at night by themselves, however our Kroger's only has one bagger past 10. Is it really illegal? I feel incredibly uncomfortable going out there by myself when it's around 11-12

Something must be wrong. At our store all full time people have 32 hours instead of 40 and most part time people who have not been laid off have 15 hours. We have about 75 people including cashiers baggers and customer service and only 55 of us have hours every other department has their hours cut also. I d...

Today they had me come in at 5 am to get things cleaned. Well because no one can put things back where they were gotten from, I couldn't mop.
