Hi, I was/am a bagger. I was 5th on the seniority list and then I left for college, so I had to quit. They never mentioned a leave, so I didn't bother. But, my manager said they would welcome me back if I didn't get an internship with my career. Fast forward 8 months, and I was rehired back at Kroger. Didn't ha...

Just got a crash course to be a backup cashier at my store. Training was only about 4 hours (not including the WBL) and was rushed so I dont feel comfortable running the register besides a cash or maybe a produce wic transaction. What should I do?

One of our scales has a blinking red light on the third light, which is normally a solid green. Ive tried a cold restart, but the blinking persists. Occasionally the scale goes offline, but simply rezeroing the scale brings it back(which is normal for the others scales to do occasionally). Everyone,...

Hi. I worked for Kroger before about 3 years ago and made 12.35 an hour. I just got rehired at a different store and the hiring is done a.. little different now. I'm wondering if this is normal. Basically they are paying me minimum wage for the first few weeks to "verify my experience." Normal...

Ok, today I did a "ballsy" move. I had the audacity to politely tell a checker that I had my own work to do. Today I was assigned to clean the entire store, which is quite a job. I even had to clean store shelves on the sales floor. I normally just do routine clean ups and help keep depts clean but to...

I completed it last week but have not yet recieved my paperwork. Should I be worried? Or does it just take a couple of weeks to send? I talked to management at my store and th...

Hey, I work night stock at this f****ed up company and am really getting pissed. About every 2-6 weeks, my manager talks to us and says he's going to write us up or fire us if we don't start making case count, which is 55 cases/hr. How the hell are you supposed to do that? That's a case every...

I saw in ad in today's paper where Kroger was saying their prices were lower than Walmart's. The ad said, "Here's the proof." They showed four items: Four items out of the thousands of items that are available at a typical grocery store.

It's no wonder Kroger is so worried about Aldi and Costco (according to a meeting we attended last week) when we have nights like last night. From 6:00PM on, it seemed like the few check-out lanes our store had opened had five or more customers waiting in line at time. The lines got so long at some points t...
