Hi everyone, this is for the people employed at Kroger or another grocery store. Today an older gentleman was behind the cigarette case asking for cigarettes. Normally I would tell him to get in a line and have the cashier do it, but he was in a line and the cashier was making no moves to get him his ciga...

I had a good senoir discount day. I got off work early and was able to enjoy a nice afternoon. It made the rest of my work week go pretty easy and I hope that everyone else had as good a time as I did.

... and that is you get to get away from your department for sometimes almost an hour and eat free food while still getting paid. That's all that's good about being on either one of those teams. Hi all, I do not work for Kroger but my wife does for around 11 years, I am baffled at how they expect someone to work an 8 hour shift with only ONE 15 minute break and no lunch (paid or not paid whatever). I'm no VP or anything but our work provides us a 1 hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks... I called the policy...

So, my last day off this week was last Sunday. Looked at the new schedule today and I work Sunday through Wednesday which means I'd be working 9 days straight. I was also scheduled 41 hours with just Wednesday off. How can they schedule someone 41 hours in a week? I also work at a store in Kentucky.

Anybody else get the new Honeywell handheld unit for self checkout? So far, I'm fairly impressed with it. The battery life is extremely impressive and the screen is great. The laser is pretty smart, too. It had no problems with some crumpled and folded coupons. It seems a bit grabby, though. Mak...
