What is it about closing time that makes it so attractive for customers? No matter how dead you are during the day, when 8:55 rolls around, that's when it seems like the customers all come flocking to the deli. And of course once there's a line going, people keep getting in line after 9 and we're not all...

How many complaints would it take for you to get in trouble? Last night I wrote on this lady's cake, and it didn't turn out all that bad. However, I'm not a cake decorator and don't always feel all that confident on my writing. She didn't say anything so I figured it was ok. About 15 minutes later she come...

Has anyone else noticed a problem with the time stamps on the message board? I can read a post, come back an hour or so later, and the time stamp will say the post is only a few minutes old. Refreshing the page doesn't change it.

I've been on the Night Stock crew for a week now, and it freakin' sucks. We're severely understaffed. Normally, there are 5 of us that stock the entire store. But some nights, they put one of the managers on the stock crew, and he doesn't help... he just sits in his office. So sometimes there are 4 of us. ...

I want a second job at nights but I know kroger has a thing in the rule book about how you can face termination for working at another grocery store , does anyone actually follow this or do they do that to scare you ?

So I recently became a casier for a month well last night I was told 2 of my tills came up short. Which I know is not mostly my fault because at my store 3 ppl r on a till before they exchange it. My deli's getting a new kind of meat and we all have to take a mandatory, 4 week training course or else we can't get certified and can't work in the deli anymore. They fall on my class times and I don't know what to do. I told the manager that and he said I have to be there for them. I'm paying thousands of doll...

I hear they used to be cool, way back in the day... But everyone I've ever known who's tried to work at a Kroger has quit because they just couldn't stand working there. I tried working there myself, but I quit because I got tired of being treated like a slave, essentially. So why has Kroger turned into t...

So Im working ANOTHER 8 1/2 hour shift (no surprise there) and I FINALLY get my break over 4 hours in. We werent even that busy. Our stupid shift supervisors wont give any breaks til we complain then they start at the bottom of the list so a break over 2 hours late is normal. I have a huge headache and decide t...

I'm a bagger from 6am - 2pm and it's during the weekend. It's really dead in the morning and there are only two cashiers available. What are several things I can do to stay busy?

why do kroger ask on their application about times available to work, you fill in the blank with the numbers, some blok hire you with these availabilties and it works fine for a month, then suddenly they can longer work with it and are uncompromising about it. Can't they be forced to honor these availa...

It sounds horrible. I pissed off 2 customers and couldn't stop laughing. First one, this guy came down my line and I didn't have a bagger there as I sent him to go help a pregnant coworker with her customer and it wasn't a huge order. It was maybe 20-25 items. So I scanned his items and he paid and I started to...

I've been working for Kroger on the Night Stock crew, but it's totally not what I signed up for. I was told I would be working 17-30 hours a week, but I'm averaging 45 hours. Some nights they have me work 8 hours, go home for a few hours, then come back and work another 8 hours. They hate it when I call in bec...

I hate how every other day I'm scheduled to work and the time clock won't let me in. They (the csms)are not bitchy about punching me in, it's just I hate dealing with a problem that can be easily avoided.
