Hi everyone, I've worked at Kroger for about 6 years now. I'm 7 months pregnant and was just put on bed rest so I can't return to work until after the baby is born. I'm not sure what my next step needs to be as far as getting paid medical leave, and the person that deals in this stuff at my Kroger doesn't seem to...

Really!!!! My floral manager is over the top. She has a daily list and most days has extras but do I really need to dust the table and sign bottoms daily?

About five or six years ago I saved a ferral cat in my store. It was in the store for about two weeks, I was working on the night crew stocking and the first time I saw the cat it was running around in the Deli. Nobody could catch it, and one night it ran past me and jumped under an isle end cap, so I made my move a...

I was told recently about something that goes on in negotiation meetings and I thought this was very interesting. In the meetings apparently the said human resources personnel representing Kroger will step outside of the meeting with one of the lead negotiations for the union and talk outside the m...

Hi, I've recently inquired about getting into this position. I would like a little info about how the accounting process goes down and what things I should prepare for. If anyone has any experience please state what it's like and your likes/dislikes about the position.

there were two posts on this forum about kroger reducing hours on part timers due to obamacare. The sources these two posts cited were conservative websites where one actually cited the other. So there is only one source that makes this claim without citing anyone from kroger. The Doug Ross journ...

I've heard some of the baggers talk about making more money through tips so they're happy to help customers to their cars. They probably make more money they I do as a cashier. I don't know the company tipping policy if there is one.

So yeah, just got hired as a courtesy clerk a few days ago, so far, I really love the atmosphere, most everyone is real friendly and helpful as heck, but I have a few questions for y'all :) 1) Any tips to make cart pushing easier? I'm not particularly strong, and they assigned me to push them for a good 2-3 ho...

Is there a way I can make a complaint about a co-worker in a more anonymous way? I'm not a higher up, he's at my level so I can't really bitch to him about not getting something done and expect it to work. This worker in particular hasn't been keeping up with his responsibilities for a while and it has crea...

Here we are at the end of the year, and at my store they have spent a good chunk of money on trash cans bolted to the cart stalls. Seems to me that they are trying to get a tax write off or something? In 8 years I've never heard of any store having trash cans on the cart stall, nor have I heard of any demand for th...

I can't believe the Christmas Party is now up to $25 with no couple discounts, yet serving the same food year after year. If we're paying $25 let's bring on the steak seriously!

we have a fuelclerk that is causing a lot of conflict in the fuelcenter. can she be moved to another department? would union allow that? we had major issues this week with her and the other employees. she is a constant problem.

Is it true that you're not allowed to take your break in your final hour? I'm stuck behind a bunch of people who apparently hate taking their breaks, but whine if you ask to go on break ahead of them "I was here first and I haven't had mine yet!" (they usually end up not taking them at all.) I go on...

Does anyone else have this? They put a TV in the breakroom at my store. KTV is connected to it but also they put a TV antenna on the roof of the store. I was in the breakroom when they scanned for channels. It got 11 channels. I guess it's mainly for KTV and they decided to put regular TV I guess it does not cost t...
