So I've worked at Kroger eight months and have recieved nothing but good reviews. However, a couple of months ago, I tripped and hurt my leg. My deparment manager now kinda hates me. Fast forward several months and I'm still on light duty, and there's still a big problem I keep running into- Getting m...

We recently had a major power outage on an end of town the Kroger store I shop at is; it lasted for over six night time hours. The store was on auxillary power for all of that, but with no registers/U Scans available. There were dozens of area hood rats literally filling carts with food, beer and liquor......

Well I go into work today in the deli for the first time in three months, and found out that after I came in our next person (not counting the chicken person) didn't come in for another 8 hours. Management knew over a week ago that one girl in the dept. wouldn't be coming back due to a healthscare with her un...

Seems that Walmart is going to start Black Friday shopping on thursday about 8 pm. Ever wonder if this my be because of them being in fear of the employee`s organizing and setting up Black Friday stikes around parts of the nation?

There's three bathrooms in the store . The two in the employee lounge which are both fine . The problem is the bathroom downstairs that the customers use . The bathroom smells like pee but a strong pee , I would compare it to cat pee . Doesn't matter what you do it smells . You can wash it from top to bottom and...

Yah... I'm scheduled to close, then back in 5 hours later to open and bake. This is probably the third time it has happened since I transferred to this store, I hate it. I really, really hate it. This isn't right, I'm gonna get a short nap, feel sick and exhausted from a lack of sleep all morning, then go ho...

Lately, all of the receiving folks have been jerks to me. I'm a bagger and sometimes I have to go through the receiving area to get access to the cardboard baler or to the trash compactor. I try not to be in your way but sometimes I have to in order to get my job done. Is there a good time to go through the receiv...

Now that the Affordable Health Care Act will not be repealed, get ready for some great changes to our health care. Try working in a store where the zone managers brother works also, with a couple of senior employees who would'nt lift a hand to help out. Deal with that on a daily basics!!!

I am not sure if this is true. Maybe some of you have heard this. I was told the next wave (6 here in the Central Division) more department heads would be working the overnight/ third shift. I thought this sounds odd, has anyone else heard this.

It's November & someone cut the heater wire on the dock. I work on the dock. I've been told by management that the wire was cut by maintenance because someone put ice on the sensor so the heater would run. The heater is set at 55 degrees & 15 feet in the air & doesn't kick on until it's about 40 de...

Does anyone else hate the Kronos finger scan time clocks? These were supposed to make our hours " accurate and precise." I haven't been paid correctly since they started it here. If you work third shift (night stock) and you work Saturday night into Sunday morning it doesn't even go on the check it's su...

I have to go back to work tomorrow. I hate work.

Even though I'm fairly new (almost 2 months) cashiers don't have to treat every time like it's my first week. If you leave me alone, I'll bag for you. If not, I'll leave and do something else.

What do you think about the New Kroger (The new way of doing things) the push on Key Retailing, the push on more part timers and less full timers, ?????

Anonymous

The Kroger I work at has those carts that are smaller in length and have two basket levels. Those carts are much harder to steer in stacks out in the parking lot and they're much more dangerous to push (with that bar that your legs get really close to). I've had instances where customers put so much on them...
