Do all corporate offices outside of the Mid-South area expect 70+ hours out of each store manager every week? First we are told we have to work one Sunday a month, now you basically have to work every Sunday to meet their expectations, next it was close on the Tuesday before Senior Day - which means you h...

There comes a time when one has to always wonder if what they are doing is realistic in what the company, they work for, is asking them to do. Have been with Kroger for well over 20 years and all in the meat department. Have seen a lot of things change and almost every one for the best key retailing and the dif...

I'm new at Kroger and I currently work in the Deli, I like the job but I think I would rather be a cashier. Who do I go to talk to about being moved to another department? Thank you for your help!

I went to get my schedule one week and noticed that my hours were cut. I also noticed I had an extra day off. I didn't request it nor did I change my availability. I asked if this could be fixed and was told there was no way. When I asked why I was told that sales were down because business was slow. I found out...

I just got locked into full time status because I completed 12 weeks of working 40 hours. When I was hired the HR manager said that my pay rate will increase to $12.80 once I have completed those 12 weeks of 40 hours. I was told that I will qualify for top pay based on my 5 years of previous deli experience. B...

At my store, they have started cross-training everybody to run a register besides meat & deli employees. The worst part is that they're calling up department heads to check. My problem with this is that they will call up the department heads frequently and distract them from writing orders, or o...

This might sound so weird but has anyone else had dreams to do with Kroger? One I had a couple nights ago was really strange. I'm not sure why, but there was a whole bunch of people sitting down on the floor in our area in between the bakery and the deli and they were unpacking something from boxes. Then my d...

Let me just preface this by saying that I have worked on and off for Kroger for the last 6 or so years in the Delta division. All of this time has been spent at a small store(did 500k in total sales including fuel Memorial Day week) Most of this time has been spent as a 3rd shift grocery clerk. When I started...

I'm going to be a certified qualified assistant produce manager once my 8-week training program is over. I'm just curious on if it takes a really long time, or if it only takes a year or less.

I work in the meat dept in DFW and after 12 weeks I averaged 36 hrs a week so the way the contract reads I should get full time.I was told it would take up to 2 weeks for it to process.I make 9.65hr now and the way the contract reads I should bump up to 12.65hr so I was wanting to know if I'm right and how does it work...

So anyway, I was wondering, when someone voluntarily switches departments, they go on the bottom of the list senority wise for the new department they chose to go to, no matter how long they've been with the company, right? That's normally what happens at my store anyway unless they're forced to swit...

I heard from a fellow employee that Walmart sold "Key Retailing" for 1.2 billion dollars. Has anyone else heard about this as well? She said it wasn't going so well for them, so they sold the program to us.
