What the hell are these pants made of? I've had two belt loops of both of my pairs of pants tear randomly. I haven't caught myself on anything, nor am I overweight. Are you allowed to wear Dickies, or at least a good quality brand?

I've been thinking of transferring to Produce as a Salad Bar Clerk. What is the full job description look like? I need some input from people with experience in this dept.

Been trying to get my dept (I run dairy) to run smoother on a regular basis so I had a manager pull my ELMS by task to find out where I am screwing up. My problem is that out of the 95-110 hours a week my dept gets, I am only supposed to spend 3.5-5 hours a week running backstock. I know that we spend at least 3 tim...

I just got a whopping .15 an hour raise, went straight home after work and booked my Hawaiin Vacation. How can someone not like working at a place that gives out such generous gifts!

Are any stores already on this and if so how is it going? My understanding is that the schedule will be made for 2 weeks in advance and will be available for viewing on the internet with your passport id and password. I'm wondering how this is going to work with vacation days/off days mixture.

I just received my 1st ever evaluation from Kroger. Pretty silly if you ask me. I was called up to the conference room where the co-manager + department manager were. I sat there and looked totally disinterested for the whole 3 minutes that he read whatever crap was on it. I didn't even bother to wri...

So, I'm trying to move my boyfriend and I out of his mom's house, but the apartments we are looking at and very interested in make my current Kroger store a bit too far out of our way. I'm a cashier, I have been working here for four months, and I am at full time status. I constantly hear about how well I work a...

Just a bit of good news...There was a cashier that was at our Kroger for several years, who recently died. She was young, too, in her 50's (That's not the good news...)...But I have to say that all the employees and customers really pulled through and raised money at the registers for her funeral expens...

Hey all i've been a supervisor for a short period of time and i was wondering whenever my frontend manager says can you encourage other cashiers to do better with their elms. I then try to explain to the cashiers how to properly maintain an outstanding elms score, while still putting customers first. A...

I was in the process of being hired. I had the drug test/background check. I called to do a checkup, but the guy who I have been in contact with/who interviewed me is on vacation now. What should I do?

Hello all, I just started working at Kroger's and am still in my probationary period. I requested one day off so that I may travel to an interview I have for college, but Kroger had me scheduled for work. I told my supervisor earlier that week (and for that matter when I first stated the job) that I could n...

I have no doubt in my mind that my Krogers Meat Department has by far the strongest union than any other local here in the Southwest division. We do not sign ANY papers involving policies such as cutting gloves, bogus Meat Safety Standards, etc. We just simply tell them we acknowledge, but we will not si...
