when the minimum wages jumps to 7.25 will it automatically be changed and added to your check? and has anyone else feel like they have been shorted on payday when signing in the book when u cant punch in the time clock? or feel like they been cheated on the time clock
I worked 7 hours one night this week after signing in. It was added that day in the computer. I didn't take a lunch, which I know I can but chose not to due to slowing down and making it tougher to buildup steam again. It really makes you more tired. I only worked 7 hours that night but showed 6.5 hours on the clock. They had automatically deducted 30 minutes even though I worked straight through. I'll get it back, BUT WATCH THOSE SIGN IN SHEETS!!!!! They will short you hours. Punch anyway even it it won't let you in, they have record of the attempt. And breaks also.

It's difficult to believe that states will pay 7.25 as minimal wage. My state's minimal wage is above $13.
When minimal wage change, the employee (who enters all your payroll) will adjust this. I know this because, the employee adjusted mine (I was among the last employee to have adjustments)
If you punch on the 8 min rule the time clock will subtract 15 min. Never punch on the 8 min mark. Someone sued them on this around 2015. By law now they're to change it. If they don't file a union grievance.
Always punc inquire on kronos after you punch to be sure your punches registered. Don't just assume. You'd be surprised how many times the time clock gets the punch as it rolls over to the next minute. People punch in and think it works when in reality it didn't.
Time clock rules:
7 min plus or minus leeway. If you punch out 7 min early you it rounds up to 15 min so you can basically leave 7 min early. And the opposite: If you punch in 7 min late it will round down and still give you full pay.
8 min mark. Never punch on the 8. This will subtract 15 min pay from you. By law they're to change this if they don't contact your union.
You can punch in 30 min late and 30 min after your shift without a manager over ride.
If you work at a store that requires you to break punch make sure you time it right. A few stores were harassing employees about longer than 15 min breaks and counting it as a 30 min lunch. This is a big union no-no. If they do this contact your union asap. My second store only started break punches because some di-ck was disappearing for up to 2+ hrs for a 10 min break. I'm glad the shi-t head got fired in the long run. This was an extreme case though.
