so today I got a milk truck at my store. It was for 319 i counted them and all 319 were there. I then proceded to take them back to the cooler and break them down.
After that i get a text from the dairy manager asking how things were going. I said i just got the truck and then he said we were not supposed to get a truck tonight . Then i looked at the bill and it was for the wrong store. I was like oh ****. I went to the hr manager the only one left at the store and he was mad but said it wasnt my fault. I alread put some of the wrong milk on the shelves and he told me to look at the bill and but everything back on the skids. Well i put what i could back but came up short.
I dont know what to think i think i am going to be fired.
Don't stress it. If they attempt to fire you for doing your job, when you had no working knowledge of the deliveries, then call the union. That is the only thing they are really good for is being a mediator.
This happened to once when I was working at a store. We normally did not receive a produce truck on Friday mornings. So I came in and started filling the department. Some time later, someone called from the dispatch office asking if I got a delivery, I said yes and there were labels identifying it was the correct store. They then said it was for the store in ohio, I work in Indiana, I told them well it's too late now, you better figure something out. Dont worry you cant get in trouble for a delivery mistake.
