My question to you is why do the customers with their loyalty coupons get free items and the associates do not with theirs?
and why do we have to raise money for a Christmas party and then have to pay $15 per ticket, $5 for door prizes, AND pay for drinks when the managers have meetings they get catered lunches for free and everything else? Why not give to the associates occasionally to keep morale up and let them know that they are appreciated? Morale is down at store 436 to the point the customers are noticing it ans were about to start loosing them. No one wants to shop at a store where the associates are not happy.
to be blunt, kroger doesn't care about it's employees. expendable assets, and there is a endless pool of unemployed people to replace any that leave. kroger doesn't consider anything it does wrong. if a employee is unhappy, it's because they have a bad attitude, and need to leave anyway. as far as customers being unhappy, well, thats because they havn't accepted the lord, key retailing. it's not krogers fault, after all, key retailing is perfect, so must be a problem with bad attitude employees , got to clean some people out...
Have a potluck. Everyone brings something and gets to eat for FREE! Next time talk to vendors and get things donated. Throw the names of management into the conversation.
If you guys are really unhappy about not getting free items grow up. You aren't working for coupons or catered lunches.
Get your cultural council to do something for your store.
Your cultural council should have access to roughly 100 bucks a month for employee appreciation. I'm the rep for the council in my store. We are using that money and money from other "rewards" over the year to pay for our christmas dinner and the door prizes.
You just have to get people that give a **** to actually try to work on getting it together. Kroger will donothing for you, you have to rely on your coworkers and managers. We are all in this together.
