Why do we have to hear this song so much?

After you go
I can catch uo on my reading
After you go
I'll have a lot more time to sleeping
And when you're gone
Looks like things are gonna be a lot easier
Life will be a breeze you know
I really should be glad

But I'm bluer than blue
Sadder than sad
You're the only light
This empty room has ever had
Life without you is gonna be
Bluer than blue

After you go
I'll have a lot more room in my closet
After you go
I'll stay out all night long if I feel like it
And when you're gone
I can run through the house screaming
And no one will ever hear me
I really should be glad

But I'm bluer than blue
Sadder than sad
You're the only light
This empty room has ever had
Life without you is gonna be
Bluer than blue

I don't have to miss no TV shows
I can start my whole life over
Change the numbers on my telephone
But the nights will sure be colder

And I'm bluer than blue
Sadder than sad
You're the only light
This empty room has ever had
Life without you is gonna be
Bluer than blue

Bluer than blue
Bluer than blue

That guy, Michael Johnson, cannot sing at all.  There's another one of his songs that gets played a lot but I can't think of it right now.

The song is a little depressing.

its a damn love song! She hasn't left yet. He is saying what it would be like if she did leave. How blue he would be -- he is expressing his deepest love to her (with corny lyrics to boot).

I sing along out loud to all my co-workers & the customers just about every time they play it.

Thankfully, they don't play it at my store.

Right now, they are playing about 50% Hits of the Eighties, and 50% ****ty country music.

Since this thread has gone on to the extent it has, has anyone of you at Kroger ever heard a song on the over head that features the line "...One fine day, we'll be alright )or something like that) "....VERY rare song, I can't reference it on youtube to save my life. WONDERFUL tune tho....

OK I get it now but thinking the way I think it's depressing.

The whole company should have the same automated music. So if they play it at my store it should be all stores.

Our krogers is finally getting the music right. It used to be straight oldies and country with no rock whatsoever. Now during the night they play rock and metal. Its crazy but it helps with our stocking. Lol.
