Okay so just yesterday i was told that my manager, who already does not like me, gave away my hours this week to another bagger who has seniority. today i went and talked to my store manager. she said that even though that technically was not allowed on my manager's part, it was however allowed when the union stepped in. she offered for me to be the first call-in this week, and i took it. when i went to tell to be put on the schedule as the first call-in, i was told that the bagger who took my hours had specifically asked for mine, and my manager said ok. i was also told that i could file a complaint because my manager should not have given MY hours away, instead, she should have given away the new guy's hours, who has only been working at our store for about a month, and i have seniority over him.
i am still mad about this issue and even though being the call-in for this week was all i could get, i probably won't get called in if my manager has any say in it. should i file the complaint?
dont know where your at or what your contract says but our schedule can be changed up untill noon saturday the person above you in seniority can take your hours but you should be able to take hours from lesser senior people than you. you should also be scheduled more hours than lesser senior people given your availability allows for it
