Actually it does not violate freedom of speech laws. Read the paperwork you signed during orientation. It clearly states that an employee is not allowed to say anything negatively about Kroger either on or off the clock and either on or off company property.
Back in early September, I requested time off using the old method of filling out the paper request, and I also spoke with my dept mgr. Shortly thereafter, I put in my electronic request for "non-paid time off" the very first day this website was active.
I requested next week off and it is STILL pending and has neither been approved OR denied. Doesn't matter, I already have my reservations made and bought the plane tickets.
Kroger will not see me next week. I guess they'll figure it out for tomorrows schedule posting.
If you go there, make sure you erase all tracks of your visit. Delete your cookies and your browsing history. I wouldn't put it past Kroger to track people using their EUID numbers and IP addresses.
Do not worry about the trackinjg. Most websites use tracking to see how many visits. There is nothing they can do if they get your IP adress.
If they can match your EUID number with your IP address they can follow you and see if you post any negative or harmful things about Kroger.
Yes that would violate your rights of free speach.
