Day off and I got called in. Oh well. Need the money anyway. Since I'm not on the schedule, will I get the "ring restricted" message when I try to punch in?

yes, get someone with override authority like head cashier or office person.

and if you can't find any of them, your store should still have the log-in sheet you can use.
