Relieving 3 Sub department heads back to back two for vacation and one for leave of absence due to her son's death.  All of which are no where near my site or my home. they are denying me their pay and mileage.  AFTER I'm already here and was told I'd get it.  Can they do this? And now they claim if I go back to my site my hours will be cut since I'm part time making minimum wage still under $8 after 2yrs.I've had 40 hours since I started working for kroger.  What are my options

Not sure about your contact but in mine, when relieving a backup, you have to relieve the same person for 15 consecutive days to get their pay. However, the store you went to for each week MOST CERTAINLY DOES owe you travel pay for your driving to their store. However, those stores owe you that money, not your home store, so since you didn't get that money from them then, you'd have to go back to those stores.

I would talk to whoever told you, you would get their pay. Not sure about mileage and how that works maybe sign up for relief at your home store and go from there.

How do you go about signing up for relief?

I've only seen people from other stores help out in my department 2 or 3 times, but I know it can happen.

Is there a sign up form somewhere? I wouldn't mind driving to another store (even though the next closest ones are like 30 miles away) if it meant me getting more hours once in a while.
