Do baggers get raises? If so how long? And also our store said we had to pick a vacation week but I don't qualify for one until the beginning of July and they want us to pick one by March first, what should I do? I have been here 8 Months now...

I don't think so. Our baggers start at 7.30 then they get a nickel 'raise' after their probation period is over.

What state are you in?

Look in your union handbook to see when your raise is.  Unfortunately, bagger raises are not that great.

Or go to kroger.com -->XrpressHR-->paystub  There should be a page that shows your next raise.

As for the vacation, pick a week after your one year anniversary date.

Same here.   Except under 18 starts at $7.25.  Over 18 starts at $7.40.  A nickel raise after 6 months and that is it.

Try to move to a different department if you want more than a nickel raise.

I think in ATL division right now there's one raise and then that's it, pay never increases again.  If you want your nickel every six months you need to move to cashier or another dept.

Don't forget the benefits that come with moving up. Cash compensation is still like a $0.15 raise every 6 months but you get insurance, vacation days, and seniority.

Local 1995 here. We have 2 different employee classes that are "baggers." We have courtesy clerks and store clerks. "Bagger" is just how an employee is scheduled that day. Courtesy clerks start at 7.60 and go to 7.75 after 2 years. That's the only raise they get. Our new contract added jobs they can do without increasing their pay, but now they accrue seniority for their pay if they get promoted to store clerk.
