We don't get bonus's. Management does. What we do is: work our asses off so management gets bonus's. Why? Because that's how things are done. Don't like? You know where the door is.- at least that how the mentality was with our last manager.
Bonus...lol...if you're a topped out clerk it's just a few hours worth of OT so barely even worth it. Should be given out today or tomorrow though.
Take what you can get now...kroger knows the union won't be around in michigan after this contract with right-to-work having passed...who the hell is going to pay dues to an organization that's in bed with this company anyway??

The reason none of us in TN give a **** about the union. It's basically an extension of Kroger that uses "needs of the business" as an excuse for everything.
Any one know how much kickback Kroger gets for giving us a bonus instead of a raise
Non-union and non-management here:
We get a bonus based on the percentage of goals we meet. Then we also get yearly reviews and merit raises. We do not have step wage increases like those who are in the union have.
Our insurance and bonuses are the same that store management gets.

we get a bonus so they save money ... instead of giving a raise that can't be taken away or harder to take back they give a bonus that they can stop at anytime....
The union is in bed with the company or they would not have screwed us like they have.... they are weaken the union by hiring only part-time and the right to work bs

I'm non-union and get step raises. If I didn't get the same raises as union members then I'd take it to the local EEOC. Compensation cannot be determined based on participation in a collective bargaining unit.
