Today, I was called in to pick up 7-8 hours after a no call no show; I gladly accepted the shift since that would put me in the upper-twenties on hours this week, and as a teenager I take as much as I can get. However, I am dependent on a ride and, in hindsight, should have checked to make sure I had a ride. As you can probably tell, I did not have a ride and had to re-call to cancel those hours. The worse part is that the Front End manager was busy so I had to leave a message with the customer service representative. I feel really guilty, as she (FEM) sounded pretty mad about the no call no show and, moreover, was really relieved that I could cover those hours. I think I've gotten on her good side, especially because I always take call-ins, but I feel pretty bad about this, should I or is it no big deal?
Just kidding. She will be a little unhappy. But, if she is older, she will forget eventually. Wait, women never forget. You are screwed.
Do you still want to work? Can you get a friend to give you a ride? Not sure how far you live from the store. Is it within safe walking distance? Do not put yourself in danger. She might be able to find you a ride if you really want the extra hours.
Other than that, have a great day off and don't worry about it until the time comes.
