So we voted on the new contract a couple months ago. When we went to vote there was nothing in there about having a set day off. Come to find out it has changed and nobody can havr an unavailable day. This is absurd!! The union lady said you can lose your full time and insurance?!?!? What? Doesn't make sense. Why can't we have a day for appointments? Still doesn't seem right. It was never disclosed when we voted. ive been full time forever and always had a set day off.
Needs of the business. It's been that way in my local forever it seems. Now if you're FT they can technically make you work whenever so long as there is a sufficient rest period and shift premium if applicable. This obviously applies only to a few departments like GM, grocery, produce (mainly cut fruit), and, if it's a 24 hour store, front end.
Some full timers on older contracts have restrictions, but the current rule is no restrictions if you want full time.
when i was full time last year i managed to work every hour of the day in the space of a month, maybe? ugh not fun bouncing around like that (yes, there was always 10 hours between shifts)

I'm full time and I've worked every hour of the day within the same week and we just don't care about that 10 hour rule at my store at least when it comes to certain employees like me.
Those who haven't been in that situation need to know it's awful. Your body can't figure out when it's supposed to be awake or asleep. It invites mistakes to be made.

I work till 11 then back in at 6:30!
If you mean to say that you only get 7 and a half hours between shifts, then your contract is literally a piece of shi.t.
