Even though I no longer work at Kroger, I still shop there because it is the closest store to my home.  However, I went to a marketplace on Friday after work to pick up some things and they were having a few sample events.  First kiosk was the biscotti, which I like.  I tried the key lime and coconut one, and I hate coconut, but it wasn't bad.  The next was a sandwich on ciabatta bread.  We both agreed that it was one of the best sandwiches we've ever had and plan on making it one day.  The next was nacho burgers with Doritos.  This sparked an idea for a dinner today.

...Except they ran out of the Kroger brand nacho cheese.  We figured that it can wait.  I went to another location, one that's under remodel, but their Latin section is still intact for now.  It took like 5 minutes to find it, then when I actually did, they were out of stock!  Now I don't know if they had the same sample event (a smaller scale one), but I find it odd that I go to two different Krogers, and both were completely out of nacho cheese.  What's worse is that they're on sale and their queso blanco is not, so there's that $1 difference.

I wonder how many people used the survey to point that out.

Did you ask anyone for assistance?

If you are talking about the jars of nachos cheese that I am thinking of, they are in several places in the store.

There is some above the Pace Picante Sauce.

Usually in the same aisle, there is also some next to the spaghetti sauce above the Velveta processed cheese blocks.

If you go into the chip aisle, there should be some there near the Kroger chips.

No, there's a particular can of nacho cheese, that is usually in the Latin section with all the taco shells and stuff. They had the huge-ass cans, but not the smaller ones.

I ended up picking up a Campbell's can of nacho cheese instead

It may have simply been a warehouse out of stock the stores have no control over that. next time have someone scan it and the hand held will tell them whats up.

There are a ton of warehouse outs(scratches) on every order. If multiple stores are out, that's usually the case. That's a never ending battle, and there will always be some things that are out of stores control. If it's a major ad-item then it is encouraged to bring it in early to help avoid that problem, but if it's not, well there's not much that can practically be done about that.  If you sell an average of 5 a week, and it's not on sale, it doesn't make sense to waste precious backstock space to keep it there.

Get a rain check or ask about the "Make It Right" policy to get a higher priced product at the sales price.
