Hey, I took a Kroger saliva test today, 38 hours clean from THC. I know. STUPID STUPID STUPID. I'm never taking a risk like this again. I've learned my lesson, but now I'm looking forward nervously.
I want your opinions, you guys. Did I pass? Also, I want your own personal stories. Share them!
So, here is what I did to prepare....
The few days leading up to the test, I brushed my teeth 8 times a day and gargled listerine after each brush. The day of the saliva test I woke up early (Schedule in the afternoon). Awake by 7, I brushed my teeth maybe 13 times before my test, gargling listerine each time, focusing on my gums and cheeks. I drank a large mcdonalds milkshake 2.5 hours before the test because I heard eating a high fat meal helps. On the way there, I sucked on a few altoids and gargled listerine throughly twice and chain smoked. I parked across the street from the store and gargled a full mouth of hydrogen peroxide, then rinsed my mouth out well, then smoked another cig, took a few drinks of dr. pepper, and pop in 3 altoids and walked in right as they were dissolving.
I held the swab between my teeth for 4 out of the 5 minutes I had to hold it in. The swab was between my gum and cheek for a short minute, somewhat wet.

Why don't you just limit yourself to one thread, it's easier to respond and you seem so eager to hear everyone's story.
Poor guy/gal. Practically beating the door down to get in. Will be screaming to get out like a red headed step child once they are in for a few months.
The only magic trick to pass a drug test is to stay sober and not use drugs.
If it has been a week since your last contact with whomever hired you, call and ask if you got the job. Let them know you are eager to start and that you do toilets and windows. lol, maybe you should skip the last part.
Don't wait for Kroger, go apply at other retail stores and other companies. F them if they are not going to communicate with you clearly. Working for Kroger is just another job. You might actually find something better for you.
Well I can tell you one thing, you won't last long at Kroger. You are going to get fired for stealing. That moment will come when it's super busy, breaks are running late and BAM! The munchies hit you and you just have to have a brownie. Fired!
I believe the cheap kits we use can only detect thc if you've smoked within the last 10 hours or so. I will say that I've worked for Kroger for almost 20 years and the pit smokers have genuinely been some of the harder workers lol. They really need that money for more herbs man. Easy to work with too. :D
Dude, I totally agree. Ive seen pot make certain people bums. Or at least more LIKE bums. But in all my years working different small places, the pot heads are excellent workers. I mean, truly the best/hardest/most dedicated employee's I've had were pot heads, at least most of them.
I actually do have a better job coming up, man. It's in the sales department as Sears, and (for a college kid) it's pretty easy work and good money, especially if you sell a lot and bring own a decent commission, but (I know the manager well known) it won't be for about three-four weeks before they hire me. I have a really valuable inside source ensuring that (when times comes around for them to start hiring) they'll hire me.
Anyway, the way you're talking, it seems that you think I'll fail Kroger's saliva test. Is that true? And if so,-

I do think I'll pass. Anxious. But I really do think I'll pass. I want to pass because it allows me a guaranteed source of income to fund my college classes. If I don't get it, I have a pizza hut kitchen job waiting for me. Still, I really do think I'll enjoy Kroger and the part-time hires. And it's just a personal failure that I take seriously for me to fail a drug test . And If I do fail, I'll be fired my first or second day on the job (I'm already well into training), and it'll just be awful.
I'm of the mind, smoke pot or don't, just don't smell like it when you come in, and don't be lazy.
I've seen several good and bad employees that smoke pot at Kroger. Just remember that the smell hangs onto your cloths worse than cigarettes and if a customer complains about the smell you're probably gone.
I will stop with these threads, but here's the thing...yes, I'm in training, but I had to sign a paper that said "bc you're results for drug test and background info aren't in, we can fire if the come back unsatisfactory".
But the lab, when I called them, reaffirmed that the test was received the day after my interview and the results were determined that same day, and it was sent to Kroger. But Kroger doesn't know apparently and is hiring me even though I could fail. Not hiring. They have hired me. I do think I passed, but I HAVE TO HEAR IT. I have to KNOW IT. If I don't learn soon, I'll have less time to land another job, so I can fund my classes. Very stressful. Need to know. Kroger's being strange too.

You are obsessing over this aren't you? I think you should just ask you store manager if you passed. Daily.
Store manager says not in, but testing agencies say in 10 days ago.. IDK lol
You're probably fine then. Good luck in school and better yet, good luck at Kroger. Working for Kroger will definitely open your eyes to the importance of a higher education.
When I was a new hire, I had to take the oral drug test. I passed because I don't do drugs, but something funny. The test tasted nasty, they gave us a mint but I couldn't open the mint! I was struggling and had a nasty taste. 5 minutes later I finally got it! But the taste was starting to ware off by then :(
I had been training with krogers for a couple days, and now I get a called from the lab saying I'm positive for marijuana. You think i'm fired at this point? Already applying at other jobs.
Yeah you're done... why would you smoke right before a drug test... if you knew you already had an interview come on... people need to be a little smarter -_-
Bro I am getting a job as a bagger at Kroger's at my age, 15. I need ****ing help. I smoked Friday a whole joint with a buddy, I smoked .3-.5 G Saturday, and then the same amount Sunday. It's Wednesday, and I applied for a job there today, but I will take a drug test either Saturday or Sunday. Help ME. Will I get a urine test or swab test? Please man I need to know whether or not I'm ****ed. I know my urine test would be a failure, but the swab is fine. But please tell me if they urine test. I can't do the urine one or hair one. It'll take me at least 1 more week to get the 2 grams out my system.
Damn dude... Chill. Just say you ate a poppy seed muffin not knowing. Poppyseeds look like THC/weed in testing. But to be really sure drunk cranberry juice like there's no tomorrow, it should clear you out
Not true... I was training for a week before I got my passed drug test paper. We had a guy that was with us for three weeks before his test came back dirty and he was terminated.
I know. I was a manager and my best workers smoked and I acted like it was none of my business as long as it didn't affect their work and it never did. It only made them work harder. Best workers ever are pot heads.
Before they did mouth swabs, I was told they use to do pee tests. A buddy is a pothead and all he did was get ahold of some imitation urine and when he went to take his test, he put the imitation urine onto the sample cup and passed it off.
He passed his test.
So if weed is legal in your state they can't test you. We have a drunk that works at our store and literally he walks to the end of the building where there's a bar and drinks his lunch and comes back to work. He's been at Kroger for ever and is ready for retirement. I'm sure management knows cause he smells of a brewery and still gets his job done. I would rather work with pot heads than alcoholics.
