I am so sick of gm being the dept that gets screwed constantly, like our dept isn't important at all.. Bad enough we get less hours than any department in the store, but when hours keep getting stolen by management and not replaced, and not to mention being the only department in the store who they won't give overtime too..wth is that about? this place is a spirit stealing stress induced indigestion joke! Oh but by all means, run trucks, orders, back stock and provide excellent customer service while making damn sure you make out of stocks, and have your promo set to their specifications by yourself. Oh and wait, you have how many extra hours in tags coming down?  Oh well, get it all done, were taking any help we may have given you, if we did, and don't stay over..  people brush their teeth, feed their babies, take pain meds and vitamins, provide their homes with basic first aid, take baths, shave, wear make up, grill out, use utensils,  sweep and mop and wash dishes, eat candy, go on diets, prevent birth control, see if they are preggo, smoke cigs and chew tobacco, use batteries for multitudes of things, use bug spray, store their leftovers, use pens, pencils, envelopes, paper, etc...clean their cars, can their veggies....but do it all yourself cause we have to save hours, so it's on you....bite me kroger! So tired of this crap and being treated like gm is the underdog to everyone else!

They must just figure that customers can buy a different shower gel or toothpaste if the aisles aren't stocked.  I'm sure it's bad when dang Proctor & Gamble coupons come out and the extreme couponers wipe out the shelves.  Or the WIC customers buy up all the baby formula.  Same with customer service.  Why have two cashiers there to make a buck off of bill pay, or 69 cents off of a money order.  Wait in line.  Forever.  Do what you can.

you are so right gm wolf store managers, could care less about all the work, they pile up on you with no help. but they still want you to make out of stock, all they care about is getting their bonus, and they pretend like if you do not make out of stock, that we are not highly satifisfying our customers it's all about them get their bonuses, it' a joke if you think about it every dept forcus on one particular area to make out of stock, what about the rest of the dept with hole in them, so it all a lie it' all about the bonuses not you or the customers.

It seems clear, even viewed from other departments: Drug/GM has tons upon tons of fiddly, little items, shippers galore, and real estate from aisles 2 to 20.  They are underbooked/overworked (like much of everyone else since that is deliberate Krogrr strategy) and then raided regularly to cashier.

Three-fourths of our Drug/GM crew are hardcore, type-A, fast-moving folks who work themselves frazzled, yet they are still hassled by the dumb-ass store director who doesn't seem to know or appreciate what he has.  It's kind of cruel, really.

your problem is you care to much. go in work your 8 hours go home leave kroger at the door let them figure out how to get things done.

I stopped caring long time ago no more stress no worries.

I can see the issues from the front end side of things. At my store, Drug GM has to reset that dang seasonal aisle like 10 times from September to April (give or take a month) and still has to get the rest of their stuff set. That's why I try to stay out of their way when possible when I do the go-backs.

Drug Gm is one of the hardest dept and extremely understaffed. No matter how many bad ass hard working people you have you will ALWAYS have something to do and you will never go home satisfied that you finished everything.
Yes all they care about are their bonuses. everything is for looks to make the stock holders and corp happy.

Thanks everyone for understanding. I know all departments have their challenges but just seems as if they think gm has a magical wand that can single handedly make it happen. And I hate promo.
