Does anyone have any thoughts about the Associate Relations Manager position? I have an interview in 2 weeks down in Cincinnati and was just wondering what ya'll thought about it. I heard they're paid very low, but I would rather work in an office setting than with customers.
I have no idea what that position is for but if you are ever asked to come up with new ideas please come up with actual NEW ideas instead of pulling ideas out of some old dusty file in the back. Why Kroger keeps rehashing old ideas that have been proven not to work I'll never know.
Yeah, I have never heard of such a position either. I wonder if it's something new that's being implemented and will be showing up in all stores across the country or if it's a regional thing. It almost sounds like a Human Resources position, but those positions definitely don't offer low pay.
As long as you say something along the lines of, "yeah, I really want to connect with the employees on a personal level and address their concerns and needs so that they can better serve the customer and effectively practice the 'Customer 1st' philosophy," I'm sure you'll be a shoe-in for the position because corporate/management loves it when you can tie in whatever it is you're talking about to being able to better serve the customer as a result.
The Associate Relations Manager is basically the HR person, the person who does the hiring, the payroll, etc. Thats what they call it around here. I don't know the pay scale for it but i doubt it's low, not compared to a regular associate's pay at least.
